Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Penny mobile application ("the app", "the service") operated by Siddhi Bansal ("we", "us", "our").

By downloading or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the service.

1. Description of service

Penny is a mobile application that connects to your Gmail account to automatically identify and surface coupon codes, promotional discounts, and deals from your email promotions tab. The service uses Google Gemini AI to process email content and extract deal information.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Penny. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

3. Google account and Gmail access

• You must have a valid Google account to use Penny.
• By connecting your Gmail, you authorize Penny to access your promotional emails in a read-only capacity using Google OAuth.
• You can revoke this access at any time via your Google account settings or from within the app.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the app
• Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or networks
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the service

5. Accuracy of deal information

Penny uses AI to extract deal information from your emails. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all extracted coupon codes, discounts, or expiry dates are correct or that deals will still be valid at the time of use. Always verify deal terms directly with the merchant before making a purchase.

6. Intellectual property

The Penny app, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Siddhi Bansal and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Privacy

Your use of Penny is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Third-party services

Penny integrates with third-party services including Google (OAuth and Gemini AI). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Siddhi Bansal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at our discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may stop using the service at any time. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us at siddhibansal2604@gmail.com.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
